Angela Kaya Mwanza
"Angela Kaya Mwanza, senior vice president at UBS Private Wealth Management, has built a successful business providing investment advice to an ultra-wealthy client base. She joined UBS Private Wealth Management from Lehman Brothers, and continues to work closely with clients (wealthy families, charitable institutions, and endowments) to determine sophisticated strategies to preserve, grow, and transfer wealth. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers in 2004, Mwanza was a private banker at Fleet Private Clients Group. Mwanza began her financial services career at J.P. Morgan Private Bank (Morgan Guaranty Trust), where she managed the U.S. Mutual Funds desk, responsible for assets in excess of $20 billion. Mwanza, who was named the 2007 recipient of the Wilbur Parker Distinguished Alumni Award by Johnson's Black Graduate Business Association (BGBA), serves on the Cornell University Council, on the Entrepreneurship@Cornell Advisory Council, and has served as a member of Johnson's Dean's Annual Fund Leadership Committee. She also serves on the board of directors for the Center for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ) Foundation, a U.S.-based foundation supporting an African AIDS charity. Mwanza is on the advisory board for the Rhythm & Blues Foundation and the creative council for Creative Time, a New York charity that presents innovative art in the public realm. Angela received her MA in linguistics from the University of Konstanz, Germany, and an MBA from Johnson. She is fluent in German and holds Series 3, 7, 63, and 66 licenses.
