Alexander R. M. Boyle

Alexander R.M. Boyle "has been Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Chevy Chase Bank since 1985. Prior to this, he was the President and CEO of Government Services and Savings and Loan until its merger with Chevy Chase Bank in 1985. Mr. Boyle had been the Financial Vice-President of the Elizabeth Arden Corporation in New York City prior to joining Government Services. He is a past director of the United States League of Savings Institutions, the major national trade association for thrift institutions which evolved into the current America's Community Bankers. He is a past chairman of the State of Maryland League of Financial Institutions and currently serves as a director of the Association of Financial Services Holding Companies in Washington, D.C. He is a member of the Chancellor's Advisory Council at the University of Maryland. Mr. Boyle is a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Yale University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Harvard Business School."
