Inter African Network for Human Rights and Development (AFRONET) "is a network of human rights organizations in African countries seeking to promote a human rights agenda for Africa through networking, information sharing, action-oriented programmes and advocacy work. It was established in 1993 by African non-governmental organizations attending the World Conference on Human Rights in Vienna, Austria in 1993. It has observer status with the African Commission on Human and Peoples Rights and ECOSOC." [1]
