Time Warner, formerly known as AOL Time Warner, is a the world's largest media conglomerate cobbled together from three seperate mergers of Time Publishing with Warner Entertainment, the acquisition of Turner Broadcasting System, and the subsequent acquisition of all of Time Warner by AOL. It has operations in film, television, cable TV, publishing, and internet services. Familiar names include New Line Cinema, Warner Brothers, CNN, HBO, Turner Broadcasting System, Fortune, People, and Time. Time Warner's AOL internet service has over 17 million subscribers. [1]
