ProEnglish role in immigration reform bill backlash
In 2013, ProEnglish has played a major role in the anti-immigration reform movement, along with numerous other groups in the John Tanton Network. This backlash comes in response to an immigration reform agenda introduced by a bipartisan group of senators in January.[2] ProEnglish has received $285,000 since 2001 from the Scaife Foundations, the sole funder of the organization and a strong supporter of anti-immigration laws.[2]
