Biographical Details
"Fiona Napier is international advocacy director with Open Society Foundations. Prior to joining the Foundations, she served with Save the Children for 15 years in overseas and headquarters roles. This included country director in South Africa and regional adviser in southern Africa, and board member of the AIDS Foundation of South Africa.
"She has played a key role in establishing campaigns and multistakeholder initiatives, including the International Campaign to Ban Landmines, the Ethical Trading Initiative, and the Publish What You Pay coalition. Napier was seconded to the UK Chancellor’s Office to coordinate engagement with NGOs on the proposed Gift Aid scheme.
"Prior to her time with Save the Children, Napier worked with Comic Relief’s African grantmaking and researched malaria control at Cambridge University. She holds a master's degree in community health in developing countries at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine." [1]
