Dr. Craig M. Eckert, "chair and professor in Sociology, received his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia. While trained as a political sociologist and in the field of inequality more generally, his interests today include the sociology of sport, the sociology of science, and problems of the discipline of sociology. He is proud to be the faculty advisor to Eastern's Eta chapter of Alpha Kappa Delta (AKD), the national honor society for sociology." [1]
