Participant Productions
Participant Productions is a Hollywood production company involved in several films with content related to issues of high public policy importance. For example, it was part of the production company team for the documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth", which discussed global warming and was narrated by Al Gore. This film was associated with the Alliance For Climate Protection which in its board of directors includes several high visibility Officers of the Council on Foreign Relations, including former National Security Advisor Brent Scowcroft, and CFR Chairman's committee member Theodore Roosevelt IV. There are also members of the Board tied to the House Intelligence Committee and the [Madeline] Albright Group, the former Secretary of State during the mombing of Belgrade, Serbia. Their affiliation with certain movies is known for:
[AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH] (Regulation of CO2, emission trading)
SYRIANA (Pro-Gulf states, anti-Iran , War on Terror)
GOODNIGHT AND GOOD LUCK (anti anti-Communist)
IMDB Movie Database does not always show their media affiliations. Sometimes this link is available on the particular movie page, as is the case for SYRIANA and GOOD NIGHT.
It is speculated that Participant Productions is part of the media alliance between Time Warner HBO, Public Television PBS, and the Council on Foreign Relations. This alliance was announced in a PBS news release in which the three groups agreed to make movies together on issues of high policy importance. In other words, the movies appear as entertainment, but in fact are prepared to influence and educate the public, i.e it is part of a private psychological operations unit tied to the Council on Foreign Relations.
