Norman Pearlstine
Norman Pearlstine is an advisor to the Carlyle Group and a director of the Committee to Protect Journalists.
"Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Pearlstine was Editor-in-Chief of Time Inc., the magazine division of Time Warner Inc., for 11 years. Time Inc. is the world's largest publisher of magazines, with more than 150 titles in the U.S. and abroad. Prior to that, Mr. Pearlstine worked at The Wall Street Journal for 23 years. He was the paper's top news executive for nine years, serving as Managing Editor and then Executive Editor. He previously worked as the founding Editor and Publisher of The Wall Street Journal/Europe, first Managing Editor of The Asian Wall Street Journal, and Tokyo bureau chief." [1]
