Addendum to definition of "disinformation"
In social (e.g., community), organizational and office contexts, disinformation is
also false information disseminated via rumor, gossip and hearsay and meant to prejudically or favorably influence the beliefs and conduct of others toward individuals an individual or collective target and/or idea or set of ideas.
