'''Melissa Johnson''' "joins the [[National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy]] as the new Field Director. She has over 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Most recently Melissa worked as a philanthropic consultant helping to seed giving circles and providing program assistance to [[Blacks in Philanthropy]]. With her work at [[Just Philanthropy]] and the [[Philanthropic Initiative of Racial Equity]], Melissa has worked to promote and encourage philanthropy to move closer towards social justice and racial equity.
"Prior to this work, Melissa served as the program officer at the [[Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro]], where she played a major role in the Foundation’s grantmaking, funding collaboratives, and community initiatives. She also spent time providing technical assistance to nonprofits on a statewide level at the [[North Carolina Center for Nonprofits]]. Her previous posts include time at the Foundation for the Carolinas and Catholic Social Services, as well as a foundation researcher and grantwriter for Wake Forest University.
