Suncor Energy Inc. (TSX: SU NYSE: SU) is Canada's original oil sands developer, having produced the first barrel of crude oil from the Athabasca oil sands in northern Alberta in 1967. Suncor is the world's second largest producer of oil sands crude (after [[Syncrude|Syncrude Canada Ltd.]]) and is the only company to currently use both mining and in-situ resource technologies.
