In mid-June 2005 the ''Los Angeles Times'' announced that it would launch a '''wikitorial''' which would allow online users to edit an editorial posted to a wiki. Times editorial page editor, Andrés Martinez, said the purpose of the 'wikitorial' was "all about finding new ways to allow readers to interact with us in the age of the Web."
