Why Tuesday? "was founded in 2005 by New York lawyer William Wachtel. Our Honorary Co-Chairs are Bill Bradley, Jack Kemp, and Ambassador Andrew Young." [1]

On its website it states that is "a non-partisan effort to provoke a meaningful national dialogue about election reform, with an emphasis on questioning the day on which we vote. We are not offering a specific solution; we seek instead to encourage goal-oriented dialogue: what is the most common-sense way to make sure that as many Americans as possible can vote?" [2]
