A sexually transmitted disease. The HI-virus specifically attacks the immune-system of the body, finally causing it to totally collapse without medical treatment.
Medical treatment usually consists of a combination of anti-viral substances which are to be used life-long. HIV/AIDS can not be healed at the time being.
The disease is transmitted through direct blood-contact (e.g. open wounds), infected blood-plasma andunprotected sexual contacts between homosexuals and also heterosexuals. So nobody is safe just because of not being homosexual!
HIV/AIDS is not transmitted by using the same dishes, embracing an, or kissing an infected person.
