Sarah Berk is the Executive Director of Health Care America (HCA), a front group funded by pharmaceutical and healthcare companies.[1]
Writing in the Washington Post, Judy Sarasohn described Berk as "a former lobbyist for the American Hospital Association and earlier an aide in the leadership office of Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.)". At the AHA Berk's role was " director of grassroots advocacy".[2]
Berk told Sarasohn that HCA aims to be a free-market "'counter-voice' to Families USA, a group that she said promotes a 'liberal health-care agenda'."[3]
