Dr. Rainer Dierkesmann is professor at the University of Stuttgart (Germany).

He was one of the speakers at the conference in Leipzig in November 1995 organized by the European Academy for Environmental Affairs and the Science and Environmental Policy Project (SEPP) which resulted in the Leipzig Declaration on Global Climate Change. In his speech he was talking about ozone problems at the earth surface. Unlike most other speakers of that conference, Dierkesmann didn't sign the 'Leipzig Declaration' or the Oregon Petition.
