Biographical Information

"Pamela Meyer is the founder and CEO of Simpatico Networks. She has over 20 years experience successfully managing media businesses. Her company, Manhattan Studios, which incubated Simpatico Networks is a well known Internet management boutique that specializes in raising capital, structuring joint ventures and overseeing new product development and launches for top management of major media enterprises. She has worked with Prodigy, Bertelsmann, Microsoft, Liberate and many others in this capacity. Before starting Manhattan Studios, Ms. Meyer was previously Vice President, Program Enterprises Division for National Geographic Television where she oversaw the organization's entry into video on demand, interactive media and feature film development. In the early 1990's, she was instrumental in the founding of Electronic Arts' Edutainment Studio and worked with a number of maverick interactive game producers and distributors to create some of the industry's first interactive entertainment. Prior to that, she worked for many years in the feature film business as Managing Director, International Feature Films at Vestron. She has an extensive network of global media partners in the broadcast and Internet arenas.

"Ms Meyer has a long history of involvement in media equity and access issues, first as the founder of the California Community TV Network, a network of full service non-commercial TV stations programmed by and for low income residents, and more recently as Director, Media, Arts and Culture at the Ford Foundation where she managed the Foundation's division responsible for philanthropic investments in arts and media content, infrastructure and public policy.

"Ms Meyer holds an MBA from Harvard, and a Masters in Public Policy from Claremont Graduate School, which she attended as a Coro Fellow in Public Affairs."[1]

She is married to Fred Kempe.
