Operation Gladio was a secret project organised by the CIA, MI6 and NATO to support moderate conservative and right-wing terrorist organisations in every NATO country. The last "official" meeting held in the secret NATO-linked Gladio headquarters Allied Clandestine Committee was on October 23 and 24, 1990. The meeting took place in Brussels under the chairmanship of General Raymond Van Calster, chief of the Belgium military secret service SGR (Service General de Renseignement).[1]
