Michael E. Williams (lobbyist) is Director of Government Affairs in the Washington, DC, office of the Greenberg Traurig law firm. [1]

Williams joined the firm in 2001, according to his GT profile. [2] He graduated in 1987 with a BA in Political Science from the University of Richmond and is not an attorney. From 1992 to 2001, Williams was a Senior Lobbyist for the National Rifle Association (NRA), "the number one rated Association lobbyist team for 2001, according to Fortune magazine. For more than 11 years, as a Federal liaison for the NRA, Michael promoted legislative and political objectives on Capitol Hill. He was one of the major architects of the NRA legislative strategy to derail the 1997-1998 Clinton Gun Control legislation.
