MediaHitman
MEDIAHITMAN is a Florida based producer and distributor of fake news products such as video news releases (VNRs).
On its website, in a section titled "Its About Integrity", the company claims that it is different from other companies that produce VNRs. "There are two kinds of broadcast news releases. The first is comprised of legitimate news content, which may include subtle brand identification and natural product placement. The second is nothing more than a television commercial that has been formatted as a broadcast news release. We know the difference. And, so do television journalists."
The company claims that what makes it different is that it is the "only domestic broadcast news distributor that reserves the right to refuse 'overly-promotional' content?" [1] "If we were to allow even one of our sources to distribute commercialized content through us, we would be sacrificing the integrity of all of our content providers and betraying the media’s trust," the company states.
