Biographical Details

"Lawrence F. Kaplan is the consulting editor of World Affairs. Previously, he was senior editor at the New Republic, where he wrote about U.S. foreign policy and, from 2004–06, reported from Iraq. Before coming to the New Republic, he was executive editor of the National Interest. He has written about foreign policy for the Financial Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Weekly Standard, Foreign Policy, Slate, the Los Angeles Times, and numerous other publications. Kaplan is a graduate of Columbia University, Oxford, and the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, where he is currently a Merrill Fellow in Strategic Studies. " [1]
