The Hershey Center for Health and Nutrition is a Hershey-created research institute which was founded in 2006 to promote the health benefits of chocolate. The center was established on the recommendation of Hershey's Health & Wellness Advisory Board, a panel of experts brought in by Hershey to advise the company on health and wellness. The Center focuses on three areas: heart health, weight management and mental and physical energy.[1] Hershey purports evidence in all three focus areas that chocolate is the nutritional answer.
