George A. Alcorn

George A. Alcorn is a director of Eagle Publishing, the parent company of the conservative publishing house, Regnery Publishing. He is also a director of EOG Resources, formerly Enron Oil & Gas.

Alcorn is President of Alcorn Exploration, a Texas based oil exploration and production compamy.

According to his biogrpahical note he heads "Alcorn Trading Company, which identifies, acquires and markets natural gas storage facilities in the U.S. In 1975, Mr. Alcorn was co-founder of Alcorn Development Company, a partnership with other Alcorn family members, which has interests in a variety of oil and gas related properties and ventures. Mr. Alcorn has over 30 years of energy industry management experience".

"He is past Chairman of the Independent Petroleum Association of America (I.P.A.A.), a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (A.A.P.G.) and also a member of the Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners (TIPRO). Mr. Alcorn is a member of the Natural Gas Council and the All-American Wildcatters. He also serves on the National Petroleum Council and is a past Chairman of the Natural Gas Council".[1]
