Gregory Dickow is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Life Changers International Church, a Chicago-based church with two thriving campuses. Gregory Dickow’s messages are broadcast via The Power to Change Today. This syndicated television program airs around the world on Trinity Broadcasting Network[1], Daystar Television Network [2], The Church Channel [3], Legacy Worldwide [4] and Word Networks. Greg and his wife Grace have five children.

Early Life

Gregory Michael Dickow was born on September 18, 1964 to Robert and Farial of Detroit, Michigan. Dickow became a Christian at the age of 16. As reported in a 700 Club profile [5] on Dickow aired by the Christian Broadcasting Network, it was consistent daily study of the Bible that followed over a period of two years that completely transformed Dickow’s life.

Dickow attended college at the Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo and graduated in with a Communications Degree in 1986. He is one of the members of the Maranatha Campus Ministries where he also met his wife, Grace (born Mary Grace Gattone; August 20, 1963). They got married on December 3, 1988. Dickow first pastored a small church in Kalamazoo, Michigan from 1988 – 1990.

In 1990, Dickow expanded their ministry to the Chicago, Illinois area where they served with Pastor Rob Thompson’s ministry at Faith Christian Center. In 1992 Gregory Dickow started Life Changers International Church, a multiracial faith church. Dickow was quoted to believe that "God is faithful in keeping His promise no matter what race they belong." [6].

Ministry

Life Changers International Church was incorporated in 1993. It was in January 1996 that the church family assembled to concecrate and break ground. The church opened in September 1996.

The Life Changers downtown Chicago satellite campus began in 1998 with members meeting in the auditorium of Whitney Young High School. Dickow’s television ministry started in 1998. In the fall of 2004, Gregory Dickow opened a new ministry world headquarters in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, a 160,000 square-foot facility located on 30 acres, incorporating a 3,000 seat sanctuary, a 400 seat World Prayer Center, a 1,000 seat multipurpose gymnasium, and a fully-equipped radio and TV studio. The $30 million campus also houses the Valeo Academy, a K-12 Christian school. The school started in 2005 and is now part of the Association of Christian Schools International. Dickow also started the Ask the Pastor radio show in 2005, airing live for an hour daily.

In 2009 towards the end of Father's Day Service[7], Dickow looked into the television camera and stated, "I announce to the king of pop, today, my (Heavenly) Father is greater than all that was done to you and all that you've done and is greater than the hole in your heart and He will fill it to overflowing." Afterward, Dickow simply ended the service. Four days later news broke of Michael Jackson's death.

Dickow was one of the guests during Don Lemon's episode of CNN Newsroom entitled "When Will the Economy be Right Again?; Church Shooting; Saving Homes". Transcript of the show can be found here [8].
