Strip Club/RNC Charge Controversy

Brown was little known until he received wide attention as the person who charged $1,946.25 to the Republican National Committee (RNC) for a visit to a bondage-themed Los Angeles stripclub called Voyeur West Hollywood, where topless dancers participate in lesbian bondage shows and simulate sex acts. According to news reports, the RNC's February report to the Federal Election Commission included an entry for a $1,946 payment for "meals" at the club Voyeur West Hollywood. The expense was incurred after an RNC event for young Republican donors in Los Angeles, according to a memo by Ken McKay, the committee's chief of staff. After the event, several Republicans went to the club on their own, Mr. McKay wrote. [1][2][3]

The southern California blog LAist says Brown and his wife Alison are "actively involved in the ministries of their local church." Brown has donated about $10,000 to GOP candidates.[4][5]

CNN reported that Brown was going to return the funds for the bondage strip-club visit to the RNC.[6]
