Environmental Conservation Organization is a US-based organisation that was "founded in 1988 when 17 national organizations met in Chicago to devise a strategy to protect private property rights from erosion by excessive environmental regulations". [1]

ECO is a conservative western US organization that publishes reports available for subscribing members. On its website it identifies its most popular reports -which reflect its conservative agenda - as:
- The Rise of Global Governance: "This report traces the development of global governance from Cecil Rhodes, through the creation and collapse of the League of Nations, through the creation of the Council on Foreign Relations, the United Nations, and all the way, decade by decade, through the rash of Global Conferences that dominated the 1990s. This report is well documented with 103 endnotes."
- The Rise of Global Green Religion: "One of our most popular reports traces the creation of the National Religious Partnership for the Environment (NRPE). Initiated by the Temple of Understanding, through the United Nations, with considerable help from Al Gore and Timothy Wirth, this campaign is reaching 67,000 churches in America, and is heavily influencing both domestic and international environmental policy."
- Federal Land-use Control through Ecosystem Management:"In anticipation of ratification of the Convention on Biological Diversity, newly-elected Vice President Al Gore created a White House Task Force on Ecosystem Management. The Task Force coordinated a massive policy change to implement the requirements of the treaty. Those policies are now in force although the treaty was never ratified. This report documents specific policies recommended by various United Nations agencies that are now the policies of the federal government - even though the treaty has not been ratified." [2]
