Democratic Socialists of America

Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is the largest socialist organization in the United States and the U.S. affiliate of the Socialist International, a federation of socialist, social democratic, democratic socialist, and labor parties and organizations.

DSA was formed from a merger of the Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee, the center-leftist remnant of the Socialist Party of America led by Michael Harrington, and the New American Movement. Two other Socialist Party of America factions went on to form Social Democrats USA and the Socialist Party USA.
