Biographical Information

Curt Smith "is an author, columnist, radio talk host, and Senior Lecturer in English at the University of Rochester. Smith hosts the National Public Radio affiliate series Perspectives. He is a columnist for Gatehouse Media, Jewish World Review’s PoliticalMavens.com, and Major League Baseball’s official web site MLBlog.com. He also analyzes politics for Rochester, New York’s CBS and TIME-Warner TV outlets, among others. At the University of Rochester, he teaches Public Speaking and Presidential Rhetoric. Smith was The Saturday Evening Post senior editor, speechwriter for Presidential candidate John Connally, and Cabinet speechwriter in the Reagan Administration and wrote more speeches than anyone for former President George H.W.
