CorpWatch (do not confuse with CorporateWatch) is a watchdog group that "counters corporate-led globalization through education, network-building and activism." It works "to foster democratic control over corporations by building grassroots globalization a diverse movement for human rights and dignity, labor rights and environmental justice. [1]" CorpWatch campaigns have included war profiteering and corporate influence of the elections. CorpWatch is a member organization of Business Ethics Network.

"The organization is a project of the Tides Center and it is guided by a six-member Executive Committee of our Advisory Board. In addition, we are an affiliate member of Friends of the Earth International." [1]

Crocodyl

Crocodyl is an online project begun by CorpWatch in 2007 "to build a database of corporate profiles by using a global network of researchers, journalists and nonprofit organization members with experience researching corporations in specific industries and issue areas. By combining the knowledge of these specialists and the wisdom of our entire user base, Crocodyl can synthesize the breadth of information contributed by people worldwide and the data culled by people with years of experience in obtaining hard to find facts" [2]

The Story Behind the Informant!

As a part of Participant Media's continuing educational action campaign around corporate ethics and the movie "The Informant!," CorpWatch and Crocodyl.org have launched a case study of the Archer Daniels Midland price-fixing scandal, along with an exposé on more recent controversies surrounding the agri-business giant's global operations. http://community.corpwatch.org/adm/
