Copenhagen Consensus Center
The Copenhagen Consensus Center is a Denmark-based think tank that grew out of the Copenhagen Consensus. Directed by Bjorn Lomborg, it commissions research to assign priorities to world problems; "We create a framework in which solutions to the world's big problems are prioritized explicitly, with the goal of achieving the most 'good' for people and the planet."

Naming
The Center's use of the term "Consensus" implies the existence of a consensus that pricing carbon is ineffective, that extends beyond the group's own panel; no evidence that such a consensus exists is presented.
Funding
The Center's website does not appear to disclose its funding sources.
Projects
- The Center's Climate project has a website at [1]; it asserts that "The solution is not to make fossil fuels more expensive; the solution is to make alternative energy cheaper."
In mid-December 2009, Gmail was displaying ads for the the website: "Cutting CO2 Won't Work - www.fixtheclimate.com - Find out what the world’s top economists suggest instead."
According to the website, the economists - Jagdish Bhagwati, Finn E. Kydland, Vernon L Smith, Thomas C. Schelling, and Nancy L Stokey - " including three recipients of the Nobel Prize – met in September (2009) to deliberate and form conclusions about which solution to climate change is the most promising. They created a prioritized list, outlining the most - and least - effective responses to global warming".
