Cone
Cone Communications is a Boston-based public relations and marketing agency, founded in 1980, that is known for igniting brands with high-impact strategies and programs based in deep insights, unique subject matter expertise and innovation. Focusing on key areas such as brand communications, social media, corporate responsibility, cause marketing, entertainment marketing, nonprofit marketing, and crisis prevention/management – the agency is positioned to help clients achieve both business and societal outcomes.
Cone was acquired by the Omnicom Group advertising and communications conglomerate in December 1999. At that time, the firm described its work as "creat[ing] and implement[ing] innovative marketing and communications programs to support enduring relationships between companies and their customers." [1]
In March 2009, Cone announced new clients and projects in its "brand marketing and corporate responsibility groups." For Western Union, Cone "developed the Our World, Our Family launch for the company," later expanding into "media relations work for Western Union Payment Services and the launch of Western Union Yes!, the first global brand campaign in the company's 155-year history." Cone also began doing "all the media relations work" for L'Oreal's "cause initiative"; "media relations and influencer engagement work" for the yerba mate beverage company Guayaki; and consulting on tech company EMC's "first fully integrated sustainability report." [2]
