Carol J. De Vita "is a senior research associate in the Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy at the Urban Institute. She served as principal investigator for the Roles of Child Advocacy Organizations in Addressing Policy Issues and directs research on nonprofit organizations in low-income neighborhoods of the District of Columbia. Previously, Dr. De Vita was a senior demographer at the Population Reference Bureau, where she directed the data collection for the annual KIDS COUNT Data Book, produced by the Annie E. Casey Foundation." [1]
