Biographical Information
"After winning his second term as Mayor of London in the Spring of 2012, Boris Johnson became Chairman of the London Legacy Development Corporation in September 2012. Previously he was the Member of Parliament for Henley and the Editor of the Spectator magazine. He is a journalist on several national newspapers and the author of many books. He was born in New York in 1964 and brought up in London. As a teenager he won scholarships to Eton College and Oxford University, where he read Classics. He lives in North London with his wife Marina and their four children."[1]
His early career was as a journalist. He was sacked by the Times for making up a quote about a relative[2]. He was also sacked as a minister for lying about an affair with Petronella Wyatt[3]
His father is Stanley Johnson. His brother is the Tory MP, Joseph Edmund Johnson.
