Anthony G. Freeman "is the director of the Washington, DC, office of the International Labor Organization, which liaises with ILO constituencies in the United States, including the federal government, the AFL-CIO, and the American business community. He was a career U.S. Foreign Service Officer for 33 years, during which he served as a political and labor officer in European and Latin American posts, was labor advisor to the Secretary of State and to the Director of AID, directed the Foreign Service Labor Attaché program, and was Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor. He currently serves as a member of the State Department's Advisory Committee on Labor Diplomacy. He holds an M.P.A. in public affairs from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School and also completed his work for an M.A. in politics from Princeton. Freeman co-teaches Labor in Developing Countries with Bill Douglas and Joseph Davis.“ [1]
