Agribusiness Freedom Foundation
The Agribusiness Freedom Foundation (AFF) is a tax-exempt organization that promotes "free market principles throughout the agricultural food chain." The 501(c)(4) group describes itself as a "communications and educational initiative striving to preserve the freedom of the agricultural food chain to operate and innovate in order to continue the success of American agriculture."
Steve Dittmer is the group's executive vice president and the only person listed on their website.
Dittmer was a co-published CALF News magazine and member of Beef Industry Council Advertising Committee. Dittmer has written op-ed articles on "liberal activist groups" targeting the beef industry
The AFF does not disclose its funders but notes on its website that "Contributions may be a business deduction, but you must consult your tax professional. Contributions are not deductible as a charitable contribution. The names of contributors are kept confidential."
