PacifiCorp and the Wyoming Infrastructure Authority entered into a joint agreement in April, 2007 to develop an Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) coal-fired power plant in Point of Rocks, Wyoming. On January 28, 2008, the two sponsors cancelled the plant, citing the rising cost of integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) technology. [1]
