He received his B.A. in government and international relations from Carleton College and his M.B.A. in finance from the Stern School of Business of New York University. Bruce joined CARE's board in 1994 and is a vice chair. He has served on the finance, nominating, management and audit, development, external relations and program and policy committees, as well as the capital fund and net assets task forces, and task force on internationalization. He is a director of Microvest, an investment firm founded by CARE, MEDA and Seed Capital Development Fund that seeks to build capital markets that work for the poor by expanding the capacity of existing profitable microfinance institutions throughout the world.“ [1]
