According to the Sierra Club, "In 2007, sources indicated that there might be plans to build a mine-mouth coal-fired power plant near Broadview, Montana." Sierra Club subsequently noted that the Montana Department of Environmental Quanlity had not been contacted about air permitting for the plant, indicating that the project was not being pursued.[1]
