Biographical Information
"William Natbony is the Chief Executive Officer of Tigris Financial Group Ltd., a member of the Tigris Group of companies with areas of focus that include resources and the resources sector, real estate and art. Mr. Natbony also is the Chief Executive Officer of the privately-held Electrum Group of companies, which is involved in precious metals exploration and development around the world. Prior to joining Tigris in May 2007, Mr. Natbony was a senior partner at the international law firm of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. From July 1997 through 1998, Mr. Natbony served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Croesus Capital Management, an emerging markets money management firm.
"Mr. Natbony has written and lectured extensively on legal and business issues relating to securities, commodities and tax law. He was named to Lawdragon’s 3000 Leading Lawyers in America (2006), New York Super Lawyer (2007, 2008 and 2009), and was listed in Best Lawyers in America (2009).
"Mr. Natbony serves on the Advisory Board of the Mount Sinai Department of Medicine and is a member of the strategic planning committee of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Transplantation Center. Mr. Natbony also serves on the Boards of Directors of Panthera Corp. and Project Orianne, charities that support wildlife conservation.
"Mr. Natbony earned his B.A., cum laude, from Queens College of the City University of New York (1972), his J.D. from NYU School of Law (1975) and his LL.M. (in Taxation) from NYU School of Law (1976). He was a research fellow at Yale Law School (1977) and a professor at New York Law School (1984-1995). He is admitted to the practice of law in New York."[1]
