I checked this reference and got a different article than the one you cited. Please make sure you got the right URL to go with this title.

Also, instead of formatting your references like this:
<ref>[http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/10/business/10bear.html] JP Morgan Unit Settles Alabama Case, ''New York Times''. Accessed October 24, 2011. </ref> Please use the following format:
<ref>Mary Williams Walsh [http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/10/business/10bear.html JP Morgan Unit Settles Alabama Case], ''New York Times,'' November 4, 2009</ref>

So the general format is:
<ref>Author's name [http://www.URLofArticle.com Title of article], Publication name, article date</ref>
--Include the date of the original article only. (Include date of access if you are pointing people to, for example, an organizational website that can change or become defunct over time). No period is needed after the article date or access date.
