Staples was founded in 1986 by Tom Stemberg and is now the largest office supply chain in the U.S.[1] The company has stores in about 20 other countries selling office supplies as well as office furniture, computers, and copying services.[2]
In 2011, Staples reported total sales of $25,022,192,000.[3]
