Scott M. Delman President of Capital Z.

"Mr. Delman shares overall responsibility for all investment activities of Capital Z with Mr. Cheng. Prior to co-founding Capital Z in 1998, Mr. Delman was a Director at Foreign & Colonial Emerging Markets in London, where he managed over $1 billion in public and private equity funds. In this role, Mr. Delman created dedicated regional investment vehicles for Eastern Europe and the Middle East and launched country funds for Hungary, Lebanon, Poland, and Russia. Mr. Delman also served on Foreign & Colonial Emerging Markets’ Executive Committee. Prior to joining Foreign & Colonial, Mr. Delman served as Head of Emerging Markets for Bank of America, UK, where he directed the bank’s corporate finance activities in Eastern Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Africa. Mr. Delman has also held various investment banking positions at Lehman Brothers, Bankers Trust, and Prudential Securities.

"Mr. Delman graduated with honors in history from Yale College and received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the Advisory Boards of the Institute for Security Studies at Yale University and the Belfer Center at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
