Richard Fernandez, a Sydney, Australia-based software developer, is a member of the Pajamas Media editorial board. Fernandez emigrated to Australia in 1997 [1] and has been PJM's Australian editor since October 2005. [2] Known on the internet as Wretchard the Cat, Fernandez blogs on both his Wretchard and The Belmont Club blogs.[3]
Since March 2007, he has participated in the U.S. Department of Defense's Bloggers' Roundtable.
Fernandez states that he is of Filipino birth and Australian citizenship. His interest in history, he says, "probably began at Harvard, from which [he] graduated with a Masters in Public Policy." Belmont is a town bordering Cambridge, Massachusetts, where Harvard University is located.[4]
