Lawrence R. Ricciardi

In June the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation announced "the appointment of Lawrence R. Ricciardi to its Board of Trustees. Mr. Ricciardi is recently retired from IBM, where he served, variously, as senior vice president and senior advisor to IBM’s chairman, general counsel, and chief financial officer. Before joining IBM in 1995, Mr. Ricciardi was a senior executive at RJR Nabisco and American Express. Prior to joining American Express, he served as counsel to the Overseas Private Investment Corporation and the U.S. Agency for International Development. Mr. Ricciardi serves on the boards of directors of Reader's Digest and Royal Dutch Petroleum Company, and is senior advisor to the law firm of Jones Day and to Lazard Freres & Co. Mr. Ricciardi studied at Fordham University and Columbia University, and was a Fulbright Teaching Fellow in Law at the University of Rome, Italy." [1]
