Biographical Details

"Mr. Jan Henrik Jebsen is the founder and Chairman of the Gamma Applied Visions Group, a Swiss holding company based on the outskirts of Geneva. Formed in 2002, shortly after the attacks of September 11 2001, Gamma Applied Visions Group has experienced rapid growth and now owns and operates a number of independent companies within the defense & security, anti-terrorism, medical devices, civil protection, marketing/communication and energy sectors.

"Prior to forming Gamma, Mr. Jebsen was a Senior Advisor for Lazard Freres & Cie in Paris, France, and the founding partner of Normart & Partners, a private investment banking firm that he formed in 1992. Prior to working as an investment banker, he worked in the shipping business in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. A Norwegian citizen, he spent his entire professional career working all over the world.

"In 2005, Mr. Jebsen decided that threat of terrorism required a central research institution for anticipating future threats, to generate preventive and preemptive means of countering them. He underwrote the creation of the Jebsen Center for Counter-Terrorism Studies at the Fletcher School of Diplomacy and Law at Tufts University." [1]
