On its website, the Iran Freedom Foundation (Maryland) describes itself as "...a non-stock, non-profit, tax deductible organization founded by the late Ali A. Tabatabai and organized under the laws of the State of Maryland in August 1979." [1]
Another organization called the Iran Freedom Foundation was formed in 2005 in Washington, D.C. It is not known whether it has any connection to the original IFF. [2]
