Friends Africa (Friends of the Global Fund Africa) "is a Pan-African organization which works to mobilize strategic political and financial support for the fight against AIDS, TB and Malaria through education, multisectoral advocacy and documentation. The organization targets every sector that can aid in overcoming the three pandemics, including civil society, the private sector and government while addressing the participation of all levels of society spanning influential African lawmakers/parliamentarians to vulnerable community members all over the continent. This Pan-African mandate is actualized through the organizations Pan-African Board of Directors and Regional Representatives. Friends Africa’s work supports the fight against the three pandemics with emphasis on the Global fund: a $9.6 billion fund that is a key funding mechanism in the fight." [1]
