Ernest B. Hueter

Ernest Boyd Hueter, born June 15, 1920, in San Francisco, California, is a law foundation executive based in Washington, D.C..

He graduated with a BA from the University of New Mexico in 1942 and is a postgrad of the University of California, Los Angeles. From 1942 to 1945 he was an engineer in the United States Army

Hueter began his career as an assistant advertising manager at Interstate Bakeries in 1947. He was appointed Vice President in 1961, President and CEO in 1966, Chairman in 1973, and Chairman Emeritus in 1979. He was appointed President of the National Legal Center for the Public Interest, and is still involved with the organisation.

From 1966 to 1979 he served as director of the American Bakers Association, Vice President of the National Association of Manufacturers from 1968 to 1979, Chairman of the American Institute of Baking from 1973 to 1978, he was appointed a member of the Presidential Commission for the German-American Tricentennial by Ronald Reagan, and was a member of the Administrative Conference of the United States from 1987 to 1989.

Hueter has served as Vice President of the American Red Cross and was a member of the Saddle and Sirloin Club of Kansas City.
