Elsa Prince Broekhuizen founded the Edgar and Elsa Prince Foundation with former husband Edgar Prince. She serves on the Focus on the Family board of directors. [1]
Political Contributions
In 2008 Broekhuizen donated $450,000 toward the 2008 effort to ban same-sex marriages in California. [2]
in 2004 Broekhuizen was the top individual contributor to Citizens for the Protection of Marriage, contributing $75,000 to the campaign to ban same-sex marriage in Michigan, in 2004. [3]

Family Ties
Broekhuizen's late husband was billionaire Edgar Prince who made his fortune with Prince Automotive. Broekhuizen is mother to Betsy DeVos, the former chair of the Michigan Republican Party, and Erik Prince the founder of private military corporation Blackwater USA. [5] [6]
